Menu Monday and Weekend Scenes

Pats Nation is waking up weary, but elated this morning after a 34-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons in overtime.  We were on the edge of our seats watching the final minutes of the game, what a comeback by the Pats!

We were up and out early Saturday morning to participate in Cycle for Survival Boston for the fourth year in a row!  Cycle for Survival is a four hour indoor cycling event that raises money for rare cancer research.  100% of every donation goes to rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC, that research benefits patients worldwide.  Our family understands firsthand how important a proven treatment plan is when it comes to battling cancer, people with rare cancers often don't have that luxury and must rely on trial and error.

Equinox along with New Balance and Smartwater sponsor Cycle for Survival's nationwide rides.
An army of volunteers get all the riders checked in and to their assigned bikes.
Equinox spin instructors each take an hour and get the crowd moving and dancing!
Mr. PS and I rode the first and third hours together.
Reagan and I rode the second hour together...
and Riley joined me for the fourth hour.
David Linn, the founder, spoke to the group.  He and his late wife, Jennifer, founded the event in 2007.
Rowan wanted to join in the fun too!
It's always a great day for a wonderful organization, to date our family has raised almost $40,000 over the past four years!
Saturday afternoon, we stopped for lunch and hit Wasik's Cheese Shop in Wellesley in anticipation of having some friends over later.  What an amazing selection of wines and cheeses!
We brought home three different varieties that were all delicious!
We then headed out to dinner at Avenue in Medfield.  I wore a C. Wonder tunic top and C. Wonder jeans with my gold Tory Revas.

We were in full party prep mode on Sunday morning!  We were hosting some college friends for the Super Bowl, the party rotates among four couples and this was our year!
 Pats colors!
We were decked out and excited for the big game!
 There were snacks...
 cupcakes...
and these adorable cake pops!
Mr. PS explaining the football pool to Rowan...
Rowan enjoying a Tom Brady cake pop!
Relieved after a stressful game!  Cue the duckboats for the rolling rally in Boston!
Of course we needed a Monday morning victory breakfast!
We ended up with a fair amount of leftovers despite sending some home with everyone, so I'm working off those for the beginning of the week.  Mid-week we're recycling a couple of meals from last week that we didn't ended up making.  Here's what's cooking...

Monday- Baked Ziti & Salad
Tuesday- Meatball Subs & Salad
Wednesday- Shrimp & Asparagus Risotto
Thursday- Chicken & Waffles
Saturday- TBD
Sunday- out after Mass

How was your weekend?  Are you happy about the Pats victory?

    1. It's funny, most of my friends growing up in Coral Springs were transplants! Several from New England, somehow we gravitated towards one another :)
