Menu Monday and Weekend Scenes
Whoa, Monday already? This weekend was jam packed with activities from Friday evening through yesterday afternoon! We could definitely use another couple of days off here!
Before I get to the weekend fun, here's what's cooking this week...
Monday- Greek Fritatta & Salad
Tuesday- Pea & Pancetta Risotto
Wednesday- Barbecue Pulled Chicken, Cole Slaw & Sweet Potato Wedges
Thursday- leftovers
Friday- Pasta & Meatballs, Salad
Saturday- out
Sunday- TBD
On to our weekend...Friday evening we attended the City Year Providence Starry Starry Night event. Mr. PS was asked to speak on behalf of his company and their ongoing support of City Year. City Year is a national volunteer organization that provides support to inner city schools. City Year is currently serving 26 cities in the United States!
Finally there was dessert and dancing, we enjoyed the sundae bar of course!
Reagan and I were up bright and early Saturday morning so she could dance at the Cape Cod Feis in Hyannis. Luckily her group danced first so we were back on the road home before ten o'clock. Then it was time to start prepping for the Mother's Day Brunch we were hosting the next day!
I'll be back with a rundown of our Mother's Day Brunch tomorrow!

We've attended the Boston event before, but this was our first time attending in Providence. The events always start with a warm welcome from the corps members!
The corps members mingle with the crowd and are usually seated at tables with the guests. We met several corps members including Chelsea from New York who is finishing up her second year of service in a Providence middle school.
Dinner started with a caprese salad with prosciutto and then we were onto the evening's program.
A local elementary school chorus performed "Home" by Phillip Phillips.
Mr. PS followed the chorus and then Michael Brown, a City Year co-founder, spoke. The evening continued with the Mayor of Providence and City Year Providence's executive director. Dinner was served and the program ended by honoring two well deserving women, a local supporter and a Providence elementary school principal.Reagan and I were up bright and early Saturday morning so she could dance at the Cape Cod Feis in Hyannis.
