Menu Monday and Weekend Scenes
Monday, Monday...here we go! Rowan heads off to Montessori for the full three hours starting today which thankfully gives me time to train for my race. It will be another busy week running Reagan to physical therapy twice and picking Riley up from golf three days. We also have a school event Thursday and are off to the White Mountains on Friday.
As a result, I'm employing my slow cooker to help me out all week!
Monday- Apple Butternut Squash Soup & Cheddar Panini
Tuesday- Crock Pot Sloppy Joes
Wednesday- Apple Cider Pork Roast & Vegetables
Thursday- leftovers
Friday- out in route to NH
Saturday- out at Stickney's
Sunday- TBD
We had a fun weekend, Friday night we headed to Fenway with some friends to see the Red Sox play the Baltimore Orioles. Most of the group started with cheeseburgers in the State Street Pavillion before the game...
It was fun to catch one of their last home games, especially since they won't be playing in the post-season!
Apparently we didn't eat enough the night before so I decided to make some chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast on Sunday...
After lunch we headed out to Berlin Orchards to go apple picking, it was such a beautiful day!
and some homemade apple pie a la mode!

Saturday we checked off a bunch of small projects around the house including finishing off Rowan's big girl room (photos later tis week).
We decided to head to a German-American restaurant called Jacob Wirth in Boston to celebrate Oktoberfest. Not sure that we'll be rushing back anytime soon, the food was fine, but the service was SLOOOW!
We started with Spaten and Pretzels...
Some enjoyed the Weiner Schnitzel...
while I enjoyed the Sauerbraten!
Everyone enjoyed the Apple Strudel for dessert!Apparently we didn't eat enough the night before so I decided to make some chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast on Sunday...

We tried some of their cider donuts after apple picking...
We ended the weekend with pasta bolognese at home...and some homemade apple pie a la mode!
