Sunday Runday

The Nantucket Half Marathon is two weeks from today and I have some serious training ahead of me!  I can run 5-6 miles comfortably right now, but seriously need to increase my mileage over the next two weeks.

Fortunately, Rowan will be going to her Montessori program for three hours a day now that she's completed the phasing in process.  This should give me a nice chunk of time to train.

I'm hoping for a beautiful fall day like we had two years ago...
This course is 60% paved roads and 40% dirt/sand so it does present some challenges.  I finished in 2:07 and would love to end up somewhere around that again.  I'm not super competitive at this level so I'm just in it to finish it!

I just finished my #ACKhalf playlist...

America- Neil Diamond
Baba O'Riley- The Who
Bright- Echosmith
Bruises- Train
The Climb- Miley Cyrus
Eye Of The Tiger- Survivor
Fight Song- Rachel Platten
The Fighter- Gym Class Heroes
Hall Of Fame- The Script
Have A Little Faith in Me- John Hiatt
Honey, I'm Good- Andy Grammer
I'm Shipping Up To Boston- Dropkick Murphys
Jump- Van Halen
Look Out Any Window- Bruce Hornsby & The Range
The Man- Aloe Blacc
Only The Good Die Young- Billy Joel
Send Me On My Way- Rusted Root

Taking in out for a test run in a bit...happy Sunday!

  1. What's your favorite running gear besides Lululemon? I'm like Brooks tops lately and I have a pair of Oiselle shorts I love. Shoes? Etc.?

  2. I'm a big fan of Asics sneakers, they work well with my orthotics. I've also worn New Balance in the past. Nike run too narrow for me and I've never found Reebok to have the support that I need as an over-pronator.

As far as workout gear, I'm a huge Lulu fan (all from the WMTM section), but I read the reviews before buying! It just wears well, I still wear my first pair of groove pants from 2008. I have a few C9 pieces from Target too and a pair of Zella pants from Nordstrom, but mostly Lulu.
