Menu Monday and Weekend Scenes

It's a snowy Monday here, we're looking at somewhere between 8-12" today.  No school for my trio again, they had Friday off due to the snow as well.  While the occasional snow day is fine, I'm hoping we don't have a repeat of 2015's record six snow days!

On the up side, the snow didn't impact our weekend plans!  We had basketball on Saturday and then tried a local Italian restaurant that we had never been to, Amelia's.

We started with the Antipasti Platter for the table which was plenty!  I would have enjoyed more cheese and a few less olives.

We tried a variety of their pasta dishes, some homemade, for dinner.  Everything was very tasty.  For dessert, I had their homemade carrot cake...

Riley had their vanilla souffle which came with a whole dish of vanilla ice cream!  Mr. PS enjoyed a similar dessert, but chocolate and Reagan went for the cheesecake.  It was nice to try a new place!

Sunday afternoon we gathered with some of our college friends for our annual Super Bowl party!

Most of us were rooting for the Panthers and were a bit disappointed in their performance, but the Allie's Donut Cake made up for it!

It's a big week here...Chinese New Year, Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday and Valentine's Day all fall in the next seven days.  I've planned my menu accordingly!

Monday- Chinese New Year dinner
Tuesday- Shrimp & Chicken Sausage Jambalaya
Wednesday- Tortellini Soup
Thursday- Hawaiian Chicken, Veggies & Rice Pilaf
Friday- Homemade Spinach Stuffed Shells & Salad
Saturday- out
Sunday- Pot Roast with Potatoes, Carrots & Onions
