Wrapping Up San Fran

When I visited San Francisco back in 1982 with my parents, the cable cars were off line for the year being serviced so it was a thrill to finally take a ride on one!  These crazy kids rode like this...
Rowan and I enjoyed the ride inside the cable car!
We took it to Market Street and then walked the rest of the way to AT&T Park to catch a Giants game!
We had to have some Anchor Steam, the local brew, of course!
Thursday evening Mr. PS and I snuck out for an adult dinner at Tyler Florence's Wayfare Tavern.  It's located in the financial district and gets a huge after work bar crowd, but we were still able to snag a couple of spots at the bar before sitting for dinner.
We were happily seated upstairs where it was a bit quieter.
These amazing popovers appeared on our bread plates and disappeared very quickly!
I started with the baby kale salad...
Mr. PS started with the potato tot "poutine"...
I enjoyed the sole meuniere and Mr. PS had the short rib stuffed filet!
We split the housemate donuts with creme fraiche and apricot dipping jam for dessert!
The next morning we were up and out early for our last full day in California.  The weather was cool and rainy, but that didn't stop us form exploring Muir Woods just north of San Francisco.
 The redwoods are truly impressive!
We were hungry after exploring the park so we hit a California classic for lunch...In-N-Out Burger!
We did a little more sight seeing in the city after lunch.  The Painted Ladies...
 And Coit Tower...
For our last dinner in San Francisco we decided to carb load for the trip home at the Boudin Bakery and Bistro Boudin!
 Sourdough Chowder Bread Boules!
 Crab Louis Salad...
 Sourdough Upside-Down Bread Pudding...
Cinnamon-Sugar Dusted Sourdough Beignets...
 Goodnight, San Francisco!
