Disneyland Days

We purchased three day tickets with the idea that we would spend two days at Disneyland and one day at Disney's California Adventure park which worked out well for us.  We were lucky to visit during the last days of Disneyland's 60th anniversary celebration.
Once in the park, we went straight to Fantasyland knowing that Rowan would enjoy those rides the most!
Turned out we all enjoyed the Fantasyland rides!
After conquering most of Fantasyland, we were off to meet the princesses...someone was very shy, but I think she enjoyed the experience.
We took a break for lunch at the Carnation Cafe on Main Street which is definitely worth a try!
I enjoyed the romaine salad with shrimp...
Riley had "Walt's favorite" chicken-fried chicken!
Mr. PS had the sourdough bacon-cheese melt!
Rowan tried the kid's mac n' cheese...
After lunch we got back to business...
On our way to Adventureland, we saw a Disneyland fire engine driven by cast member, Steve.
We were excited to see him because we met him six years earlier when we visited in April of 2010!
We took a Dole whip break before heading back to the hotel pool...
Day two in the park started a little cloudy, but it quickly burned off.
We took advantage of the extra magic hour and hit Matterhorn Bobsleds before the crowds arrived!
We had a breakfast reservation at the Plaza Inn afterwards.  I wouldn't rush back for this one, I think there are probably better options out there.

On the bright side, we met a lot of characters!

 Toontown was next!
A few more rides before lunch...
We found the Club 33 door!
We took a break for lunch at the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe where we sampled a celebration cupcake!
 Splash Mountain...
 Jungle Cruise...
 Hyperspace Mountain...
And finally waiting for the monorail back to the hotel...
I'll be back tomorrow with our California Adventure park experience!
