What's the Scoop Wednesday

It's been a long time since we've done one of these posts!  My family is always willing to help out when it comes to reviewing homemade ice cream.  This week's edition comes from St. John in the US Virgin Islands!

St. John Scoops
St. John Scoops occupies a small corner storefront of the Mongoose Junction shopping plaza in Cruz Bay.  It opened in early 2014 and serves homemade ice cream made on site.
There is one 2 scoop cup size available for $5 and you have the option of upgrading to a fresh waffle cone for another $2.  Fair prices considering you're on an island!  While there were none available when we visited, they usually offer "adults only" flavors such as Painkiller (a popular local cocktail) and Cruzan Rum Runner. They also offer smoothies, slushies and root beer floats made with St. John Brewers' own root beer.
We had just visited St. John Brewers for lunch so Mr. PS and I opted to hold off on the ice cream.  The kids opted for Chipped Raspberry and Cookies + Cream which had a light chocolate base.
Everyone seemed to enjoy their treat!

I'll be back tomorrow with more travel eats!
