Menu Monday and Scenes from San Fran
Happy Monday! It's back to the daily grind here after a fun filled April vacation week in San Francisco. Lots to share, but first, this week's menu...
Monday- Asparagus & Parmesan Risotto
Tuesday- Hidden Valley Chicken
Wednesday- Spaghetti & Meatballs
Thursday- Toasted Meatball Subs w/Provolone & Salad
Friday- Crab Cakes, Salad & Chowder
Saturday- Red Sox
Sunday- out
We took off early last Saturday morning on a direct flight from Boston. This was the longest flight we have done so far with Rowan and let's just say that we're not looking forward to returning to the west coast Labor Day weekend! We had some beautiful views along the way though!
After we landed, we grabbed the luggage and rental car and headed to the Sports Basement to pick up my bib for Sunday's race...The weather was gorgeous, sunny and 80! We checked into the Fairmont Heritage Place at Ghirardelli Square which is a Fairmont residence property with two and three bedroom units. With five of us, we find these types of accommodations to work really well!
A nice welcome...
They offered a daily continental breakfast so we didn't end up using the kitchen too much. They also had a daily wine and cheese hour!
Master bedroom and bath...
Girls' bedroom, they had their own bathroom too and Riley enjoyed a pullout sofa in the living room!
We opted for an early dinner Saturday evening since we were still on east coast time. I had found Roam Artisan Burgers as part of my trip research and we decided to give it a go!
I had the Farmers Market Salad with a homemade veggie burger! It was perfect after a long travel day!Mr. PS and the kids tried their classic burgers and fries...
Our hotel looked over Ghirardelli Square and the Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop so after dinner we decided to give it a test run...
We tried an assortment of sundaes...not bad! There may have been a return trip later in the week too!
I'll be back tomorrow with more of our trip! Hope your week is off to a good start!
I love your recap. I am planning a trip from Boston to San Francisco. Love that you did a road race while you wee there.
