Weekend Scenes and Weekly Menu

Wednesday already?  How did that happen?  We've been on Nantucket for a little over a week and time is flying by!  I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July weekend.  For the most part, the weather was beautiful here which allowed us to get out and enjoy the Island!

I ran the Firecracker 5K Saturday morning and then we headed downtown for some festivities.  Weather wasn't terribly cooperative, but we did manage to barbecue and catch the fireworks!
 Sunday morning bike ride out to Sconset (eastern end of Nantucket)...

 Followed by dinner at The Pearl...

Monday came way too quickly and unfortunately meant that Mr. PS and our friends had to head back to the mainland.  So the kids and I are just getting into our groove here.

As far as this week's menu, I plan around our CSA so we've got lots of veggie-filled meals!  The kids are thrilled!

Monday- Zucchini, Squash & Tomato Quiche with Caesar Salad
Tuesday- Turkey Chili
Wednesday- Veggie Quesadillas & Salad
Thursday- Quinoa and Vegetable Stir-fry
Friday- Stromboli & Salad
Saturday- Nantucket Conservation Race for Open Space party
Sunday- Maria Mitchell Association Evening Under the Stars
