Codfish Park Playground

After strolling around town on Sunday we headed to Sconset, the eastern most point of Nantucket, to check out the new and improved Codfish Park Playground!  This property was donated by a family in 1994 to the Nantucket Land Bank. 

 In 2014 there was an initiative to update and redesign this ocean front play space...

and the new playground by Environmental Design opened last fall!

In the back right corner of the park, there's a garden and dedication plaque recognizing those who contributed to the new playground including our favorite NFL coach and part-time Sconset resident, Bill Belichick!

The equipment has a nautical theme with a large boat play structure, a lighthouse and plenty of ropes!

 Everyone seemed to agree that you're never too old for a playground!
