Menu Monday and Weekend Scenes

It's Monday again and I'm sad to say that we're winding down here!  Mr. PS arrived on island Friday night and is officially on vacation with us until our August 24th departure.

It's been unusually hot and humid here so the beach was a must on Saturday.

I'm loving my new turkish towel from The Preppy Stitch, it's been my constant beach companion!

After the beach, we showered and got ready for dinner at Galley Beach...

It quickly turned into a foggy night for the Boston Pops on Nantucket at Jetties Beach.  That didn't stop all of the boats from dropping anchor to enjoy the concert and fireworks from the water...

We finally sat for dinner at 8:30 at a cozy table for two.

I started with a salad with roasted beets, jericho lettuce, grapefruit, sunflower seeds, manchego and a togarashi-rice wine dressing.

Mr. PS started with the lobster bisque!

I had locally caught seared tuna over wild rice and bok choy...

Mr. PS thoroughly enjoyed his filet mignon, fingerling potatoes, kale and carrots with wagyu butter!

For dessert, I had to have the blueberry buttermilk cake with a yogurt and berry sauce!

Mr. PS continued with his indulgent evening selecting the creme brûlée!  We had a fabulous meal and excellent service, but that Galley Beach view comes with a steep price tag so be prepared!

Sunday morning I decided to push myself a bit and cycle to Sconset (eastern end of island) and then to Madaket (western end) and back home for a total of 33 miles!

We hit the beach on Sunday afternoon to escape the heat and humidity!

Sunday evening was opening night for Reagan and her fellow Wizard of Oz cast mates!  We're looking forward to seeing the production on Saturday night!

So as we wind down here, I'm trying to use up what's left in the refrigerator and cabinets.  Here's what's cooking this week...

Monday- Vegetable Lasagna

Tuesday- Wagyu Burgers, Beans & Corn

Wednesday- out @Breeze/Cast Party

Thursday- Grilled Chicken Caesars

Friday- out @Station 21

Saturday- Pizza & Salad

Sunday- out @Toppers
