Menu Monday and Weekend Scenes

I can't believe that there are less than 3 weeks left in 2015!  As we were decorating the tree this weekend I came across a couple of new ornaments that we purchased on our trips to Disney World and St. Thomas in April.  It seems like just yesterday!

Anyway, we've been packing in the fun here.  Here's a peek at our weekend...

Friday night's dinner concluded with Christmas Tree Cupcakes!  I got the idea from Just a Taste.  Ours weren't quite as pretty, but there weren't any complaints here!
Saturday morning, I made a run for the New Hampshire border and ran the Jingle Bell Half Marathon at the Atkinson Resort & Country Club.  The weather was perfect, right around 50 degrees.
This race was fairly hilly so I was a bit slower at 2:00:31 than my November half where I finished in 1:55:14.  Let's be honest, I'm in them for the bling now!
And yes, I put my bling on the tree!
Sunday we attended the Holiday Pops kids matinee at Symphony Hall in Boston.  We have done this a couple of times before when the big kids were younger.
They were happy to return!
We had a table on the floor in the rear section which was perfect.
Keith Lockhart welcoming the crowd.
Santa joining Keith Lockhart before the sing-a-long.
They played lots of Christmas favorites!
Someone really enjoyed herself...
and even said hello to Santa with her brother and sister!
We hit up Max Brenner for a late lunch after the Pops.  The food was surprisingly good!
Of course we had to end off with something sweet!
Mr. PS let me have a bite of his dessert...
After all that weekend fun, today has been a bit hectic catching up on housework and food shopping.  Here's what I've pulled together for the week...

Monday- Vegetable Baked Ziti
Tuesday- out with kids
Thursday- Mr. PS's Holiday Party
Friday- Meatloaf, Green Beans & Mashed Yukons
Saturday- College Friends Holiday Dinner
Sunday- TBD

Have a great week!

  1. Jealous! I sang with Kieth both as a Utah Symphony chorus member then again when the Providence singers sang with the pops. A full circle moment for sure.
