Menu Monday and Weekend Scenes

Happy Monday, hope you had a wonderful weekend!  We had a lot of fun, but before I get to the recap, here's what's cooking this week...

Monday- Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese with Tomato & Fresh Basil
Tuesday- Chinese Take-out
Wednesday- leftovers
Thursday- Buffalo Burgers, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans and Homemade Roasted Red Bliss
Friday- Homemade Broccoli Mac n' Cheese
Saturday- out
Sunday- Make Your Own Grilled Pizza & Salad

We kicked the weekend off early with an end of the year dinner at Riley's school.  It was a Hawaiian luau theme so I opted for my Lilly Shauna Dress in Black Novelty Big Bang with a kukui nut necklace from our trip to Hawaii.  It was a fun evening, everyone got into the theme!
 The kids enjoyed celebrating National Donut Day on Friday!
 Saturday we were off to watch the Red Sox face the Oakland Athletics.
We left the game a bit early to grab dinner at nearby Church.  I tried the roasted and stuffed eggplant with quinoa, zucchini, chilis, black beans, pepper jack and avocado crema.  I love a good vegetarian dish!
Sunday was gorgeous, we decided to take advantage of our zoo membership and head to Roger Williams Park Zoo.  I had to wear my Elizabeth McKay elephant blouse!
After a fun afternoon at the zoo, we hit up the local Whole Foods for some dinner makings and made a garlic and herb chicken sausage pasta dish.  We finished it off with homemade strawberry shortcake, the perfect ending to a perfect weekend!
