Menu Monday and Weekend Scenes

Hello Monday!  It was a fun-filled weekend here starting with a visit to our new house on Friday to meet the builder and lead contractor.  The home was already built when we found it so we had very few options on finish work which is fine by me since I would be overwhelmed by all of the options out there!

This will be our new kitchen...

Wet bar pass through to dining room...

Family room (opposite end of kitchen)...
More photos of the house to come!

Friday afternoon, Rowan whipped up some Rice Krispie Treats for dessert.  She did a great job, they were delicious!
We were back to basketball first thing Saturday morning with a tournament game, another win for Reagan's team!
Riley took a turn in the kitchen making Polvorones for a Spanish class project!
He's always been a good helper in the kitchen so it didn't surprise me to see him jump right in and enjoy the process!
Sunday brought Reagan's Catholic Athletic League championship game against another Diocese of Fall River team.  They were undefeated going in and were thrilled to win with a final record of 15-0.  They will continue on to the New England Regional CYO tournament in Bridgeport, Connecticut in a few weeks.  This is their second year going, you can read about last year's fun here!
We ended off the weekend celebrating my Mother's belated February birthday at our favorite local Mexican restaurant!

Hope you had an action packed weekend too!  Here's what's cooking this week...

Monday- One Crust Chicken Pot Pie & Mashed Red Bliss
Tuesday- Monte Cristos & Mixed Greens
Wednesday- Skinny Stuffed Pepper Casserole
Thursday- leftovers
Friday- Gnocchi with Butternut Squash & Kale
Saturday- TBD
Sunday- out

  3. I wouldn't do well with all the decisions from day one with a build. It seems like you get the best of both worlds with this house!! Is the commute shorter?!!!

    1. Yes, the commute will be shorter for my husband and more importantly for the big kids to their schools! We're going due north of where we are now...
