City Year Boston Starry Starry Night

Last night Mr. PS and I attended City Year Boston's Starry Starry Night at the Boston Convention Center. Traffic was awful so I was excited to see Mr. PS waiting for me with a glass of Prosecco!  I wore a Lilly Brielle Dress in Ottoman Stripe with my Lilly Cross Town Clutch and gold sandals which you can't see :)
As you entered the room, there was a teacher "Appreciation Station" sponsored by Staples where you could put together a gift bag for a Boston teacher!
We jumped right in and grabbed a tote to fill...
Pencils, glue sticks, tissues, erasers, notebooks and even some sweet treats were creatively displayed and ready to be added to the totes!
There were over 700 people in attendance last night, the tables and chairs were white which popped against the black background of the convention center.
The evening started with the Corps members welcoming us, 256 Corps members serve the Boston Public Schools.  As you may recall, we attended the Providence event two weeks ago.  We love the work that City Year does, the energy and enthusiasm at these events is contagious!
A 9th grade student shared his experience working with a City Year Corps member...
CNN's John King, a Dorchester native, was the featured speaker...
While it wasn't really a "date night", it's always fun to get dressed and go out!
And of course my favorite part of the evening, the sundae bar...
Have a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend!
