We usually spend Memorial Day weekend on Nantucket, but this year we had Red Sox tickets for Saturday evening so we decided to stay on the mainland!
Saturday started with a 7 mile run and a few errands, then we were off to see the Sox with some friends.
Sunday started with another run and by taking Rowan for an impromptu visit to a pediatric urgent care to check out a suspicious bug bite reaction. After an antibiotic prescription and a blood order she was on the road to recovery and we got on the road to Newport, Rhode Island for the day! Apparently everyone else had the exact same idea, it was crowded!
One of our first stops was RE-SAILS. While sail bags are nothing new, they had some great merchandise including the sail cloth sling back chairs below with pillows attached!
These "paddle" cheese boards were so cute!
Newport Fudgery, it's a balance with the kids.
Lemon & Line fan since the beginning so we had to stop at their flagship store!
Look at all that cord!
The big kids each got a bracelet and modeled them in Lemon & Line's cute space!22 Bowen's for dinner. This is a family favorite, we often eat here while in Newport.
Mr. PS had a dessert special that had a lot going on. It involved a chocolate almond tart topped with strawberries, chocolate ice cream and an orange cream anglaise...I think?
The parade concluded with a ceremony on one of the town's commons...
